In 2014, Ilham Tohti, a Uyghur intellectual, economist, and prolific writer, was arrested in Xinjiang and sentenced to life. Nothing has been heard from him since. This book presents a collection of his own words on justice, the history of Xinjiang and the plight of China’s Muslim minorities.
